During The Covid lockdown the employer informed its employees that they were to work form home. The employer did not specify that this arrangement would be temporary until the lockdown requirements expired.
When the lockdown requirements were lifted the employees continued to work from home and the employer did not object to that. Two years later the employer instructed all employees to return to working from the office because it noticed that productivity had dropped during the work-from-home period. All employees except one complied with this instruction. The employer informed her that she would be disciplined. She alleged that being allowed to work from home had become a right and refused to return to working from the office.
Is the employee in the right? Please give your reasons.

In my opinion it is obvious that the work from home arrangement was a temporary measure. So the employer was entitled to instruct the employee to resume working from the office.
